Welcome to UC San Francisco!
UCPath is one of the many systems available to you as an employee of the University.
About UCPath, the UCPath Center, and UCPath online
UCPath is the University of California's new, modernized human resources, academic personnel, benefits, and payroll system for all UC employees systemwide. UCPath helps us work more efficiently and enables employees to manage essential tasks and view their own information.
The UCPath Center is the University of California's shared transactional and service hub managing payroll, benefits, and human resources services for more than 200,000 UC employees. The UCPath Center is located in Riverside and processes routine transactions related to payroll, benefits, leave management and workforce administration. The UCPath Center also provides dedicated and responsive customer service support to employees systemwide.
The UCPath online portal provides employees, managers and supervisors with 24/7 access to view and manage payroll, benefits, and human resources information. Employees can log into UCPath from any device - desktop, laptop, mobile, or tablet.

UCPath Roles and Access
User roles control the UCPath online screens you see, the information you can access, and the types of actions you can take.
- Employee self-service access is granted automatically when a person is hired into a UCPath position.
- Manager self-service access is granted automatically when a 'reports to' relationship is identified in UCPath.
- Four additional UCPath roles are available for campus departments. These roles are assigned to employees who will initiate or approve funding entry and/or salary cost transfer transactions in UCPath online. Your manager, supervisor, or Control Point financial officer will let you know if you have been assigned one of these roles.
