UCPath: Supports Resource Management in Your Department
UCPath brings new concepts, data structures, and terminology for human resources and payroll processes. In addition, human resources and payroll processes as well as enterprise reports have been modified to integrate with UCPath. Depending on your job responsibilities, you may need to understand about changes to:
- Position management - using position, person record, and job record
- Funding entry - campus administrators enter directly into UCPath, Health administrators submit PeopleConnect Management Action forms
- Salary cost transfers - campus administrators enter directly into UCPath, Health administrators submit PeopleConnect Salary Cost Transfer Management Action forms
- Pay changes - affecting overtime pay calculations, off-cycle pay, and terminal pay
- Enterprise reporting tools - new reports, modifications to existing reports, and retirement of some reports
- Composite Benefit Rates (CBRs) - new method for recording employer contributions
There is no specific role for department managers and administrators in UCPath. Department managers and supervisors have the same access as all employees, and as managers if they supervise direct reports. If you hold a transactional role (Funding Entry Initiator or Approver, Salary Cost Transfer Initiator or Approver) in your department, your UCPath online access will reflect these additional roles upon completion of training and provisioning by your Access Administrator.
